On Thursday, Michigan became the fourth state this year to begin considering legislation that would lower the legal blood-alcohol limit for driving by 40% from 0.08 to 0.05 BAC-a change that could have a chilling effect on sales at restaurants and bars. This also marks the first time Mothers Against Drunk Driving has come out in favor of the proposal-pivoting from their previous consistent support of a 0.08 BAC limit.
