Illinois Liquor Control Info:
- Fiscal Year July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023 license 1A renewal fee waiver
We hope to have “official” information soon regarding the waiving of Illinois State 1A liquor license renewal fees. Our current understanding is that Governor Pritzker will approve as a part of the pandemic recovery plan and FY2023 Budget, the waiving of these license fees for the renewal period of July 2022 – June 2023. We believe that liquor license “renewals” will still need to be completed electronically but there will be no “fee” for the July 2022 – June 2023 period. Again, we hope to have specific details and confirmation about this fee waiver soon.
- HB4700 – Public Act 102-0699
For fiscal year 2023, all businesses or individuals holding liquor licenses issued by the ILCC will be required to file renewal applications with the ILCC as they have done in the past. Only those licensees filing for renewals of 1A retail licenses will be subject to the fee waiver, and only after clearing any tax or other holds and submitting proof of current dram shop insurance (if applicable), as well as a copy of their local liquor license. The fee waiver does not apply to “new” applicants for 1A licenses, as this is intended to aid those licensees impacted by the pandemic.
- Springfield Liquor Control Office: will be closed for In-Person transactions until further notice.
If you are applying for a new liquor license you can email your new application and all required attachments to LCC.Licensing@illinois.gov. If you are needing to renew your liquor license you can renew your license online via MyTaxIllinois account, detailed instructions are available on the ILCC web site.
